Future Group launches 'Sach' toothpaste; more products to follow

Future Group entered the toothpaste market with its own brand, Sach, even as it announced plans to soon launch men's personal care products under its John Miller brand. Sach is a co-brand of Sachin Tendulkar and the Future Group. It has already been used for retailing toothbrushes, launched six months ago to get a foothold in the oral hygiene market, estimated at Rs 5,000 crore.

Retail FDI can boost farm & manufacturing: Rajan Mittal

Leading industrialist and FICCI President, Rajan Bharti Mittal said allowing foreign direct investment in multi-brand retailing is critical to boost agricultural and manufacturing output in India and urged the government to open up the sector to 49 per cent FDI. Mittal, who heads Bharati Enterprises, argued that FDI in multi-branding retailing would bring the much-needed investment.

Fortunately, my store is too small to be targeted by organized crime rings. However I would still be interested in how big stores manage loss prevention aside from the use of loss prevention devices and cameras.
